- You will receive an activation email or text from us to set up your Online Portal.
- Click “Activate Now” in the email or activation link in the text and set up your password.
- Log in to your personal, secure Online Portal and follow the simple steps to make a payment.
Electronic Cash Payments:
- Contact us to receive your unique and reusable PaySlip. We can print or email it to you.
- Locate the most convenient participating location near you (participating locations include 7-Eleven, CVS, Ace Cash Express, or Casey’s General Store): www.paynearme.com/locations
- Take your PaySlip and your cash to 7-Eleven, CVS, Ace Cash Express, or Casey’s General Store and present them to the clerk.
Please Note:
- There is a $3.99 processing fee for each transaction up to $1,500. You can make multiple payments if needed. The $3.99 processing fee applies to each transaction completed.
- The same PaySlip can be used every month to pay rent.
- You will receive a receipt with a confirmation number from the cashier as proof of your payment. An email or text confirmation will also be sent. If we do not have your email or mobile number, please contact the property management office and provide this information.

Was willing to pay up to 5 months in advanced as well as the deposit and have 2 co signers with great credit and still got denied because my credit is about 30 points too low, this place won’t be getting my 45 dollars to waste my time anymore on pointless applications, don’t except them to work with you on anything.

I was directed to the wrong location. The rating was not about your company itself. I was in Roanoke a few weeks ago and the address I kept being directed to was your address when I was looking for a relatives home and less than ten percent battery life for the map. It was frustrating to say the least. So today, when this popped up for a review this is what came to mind. Google maps sent me to the wrong location.

Extremely professional, handled my issues within the hour. Has an app where you are able to pay your rent and with all documents together. Highly recommend. (Move out edit)🌟🌟🌟🌟 - caused no issues as a tenant. Paid rent. Followed move out instructions. Apartment was cleaner than when we arrived, floors mopped and taken care of so well throughout the year lease they looked 10X better and Improved than move in day. Cleaned out and sanitized attic and laundry room to make comfortable and livable by myself (which had rat poop, piles of old blinds, old toilet, and old sink that Lawson stated was not harmful when asked about clean up/removal, that they never did.) patched all nail holes upon move out; and still did not receive any part of the security deposit back. ($975)- charging $50 for a lightbulb replace and so on.

Just finished a year of house renting through Lawson. We had some frustrating parts of the experience, but in the end they tried really hard to help us be satisfied with our experience. I do recommend documenting meticulously any damage to your rental when you begin your stay. Any smudges, scuffs, dirty outside windows, cobwebs, holes in walls, etc. need to be documented. The maintenance team was prompt in responding to issues. I think as long as you communicate well with them you will have a good experience.

I had a schedule showing and no show and I've been trying for 3 days to get someone to answer the phone or return my calls. So far not impressed

They have been nothing but kind courteous and professional Update been renting from them for a few months now and couldn't be more happier but for some unforeseen family circumstances I had to terminate my lease early And they've been nothing but kind I cannot recommend them enough if you're looking for a place to rent and hopefully maybe sometime in the future I can maybe one day rent from them again thank you

I’ve rented with this company for 2 years, the residence that I was staying at was okay at first, until I found out I lived right across the street from the owners! Everything was going well until this upcoming year, I’ve lost my job and some financial issues and couldn’t pay the oil heating when they wanted it done, I had to wait until I got paid to do so, I explained to them and they brushed it off, scheduled it to get done and they couldn’t come that week to fill the tank up because our street wasn’t clear yet from the snow! The owners’ wife went on the property without our permission took pictures of the house, drive way and cars! Their family will park their cars on the lawn so I couldn’t have anybody come over what so ever! They didn’t won’t us parking stuff in front of the house because they couldn’t see what we was doing! They was watching us the whole time from their windows and the porch! When it was time to move, and we was moving stuff out the house they sat there on the porch and watched everything we did! They had their grandkids come over in my backyard and play with the play set! They dug up the sewer drain and left it uncovered and I didn’t won’t one of my kids to accidentally fall in! Last but not least , the husband would plug his truck up into the house and one day that he did that it was raining lucky my power didn’t go out but that was very dangerous I definitely recommend Lawson Realty Group but I don’t recommend the residence we stayed at!


I have used Lawson Realty as my property manager for years. They provide excellent service.

2022: A few hitches setting up their 3rd party landlord/tenant portals but otherwise a solid experience. Good communication. Quick response to service requests. Highly recommend. 2023: A year later - still highly recommend. 2024: Two years later - still highly recommend.

When I receive my monthly statement, everything is in order. Easy to read.

I honestly have no complaints. No matter how small of a question, they seem to have the time to research it and reply back as soon as possible. The service they provide and the detail of the problem they provide me, allows me to make my own decisions on which way or how the repairs should be handled. So I really do enjoy working with Lawson Realty Group, and any other property I may find, or buy later. I do plan on bringing to them.

Makes everyone pay $45 on applications doesn't matter if there's three of you every one of you have to pay $45 for the application which is a scam


After managing my own rental property for 25+ years, I decided to try an outside company to do it. I turned everything over to Lawson Realty to manage my rental property about 6 years ago. You will not find a better company to partner with. Their team members are very knowledgeable and demonstrate considerable expertise and professionalism in their work. They look out for my interests and are attentive to the needs of our renters. I recommend them without any reservation. My only regret is not turning things over to them sooner than I did.
